General Informations

When

The school begins in the morning of Monday, May 27th and ends on Friday, May 31st afternoon. Attendants should arrive on Sunday, May 26th.

Where

The conference will be held at the Paris-Saclay University, the largest research campus in France, located 20 km south of Paris. This location is an ideal mix, with Paris easy to get to for cultural or scientific tours, and the woods just next door, easily available for a walk.

The lectures and seminars will take place at the IOGS Auditorium.

Access by public transportation 

Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) to Massy-Palaiseau:

Take the RER B train towards Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse or Massy-Palaiseau and get off at "Gare de Massy-Palaiseau" . 

Orly Airport (ORY) to Massy-Palaiseau:

Take the Orlyval shuttle train to Antony station. From Antony, take the RER B train towards Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse  or Massy-Palaiseau and get off at "Gare de Massy-Palaiseau".

Massy-Palaiseau to the hotel:

Once you arrive at the Massy-Palaiseau station, exit the station and head to the bus station located just outside. Look for the bus number 91.06 (Christ / N306, Saclay / Gare de Massy-Palaiseau, Massy) direction "Christ de Saclay" and board the bus.

Stay on the bus for approximately 15 minutes and get off at the "Place Marguerite Perey" bus stop.

The hotel lobby entrence is just accross from the bus stop, within a short walking distance (~1 min).

Accommodation 

Lecturers and participants who require accommodation can be provided with lodging at the Apparthotel Adagio Palaiseau, conveniently located just a 2-minute walk from the school location (6 Boulevard Gaspard Monge, 91120 Palaiseau). The Institute for the Sciences of Light (ISL) will reserve a block of rooms, and you will be asked to indicate your need for accommodation during the application process.

For those opting for double shared room (with 2 single beds), you have the opportunity to select your roommate if you already know someone attending; otherwise, the organizers will pair you with another participant. Individuals desiring a single room may request one at an additional cost (refer to details below). Room reservations cover the period from Sunday afternoon (26/05) to Saturday morning (01/06), i.e., for 6 nights. Confirmation of accommodation availability will be provided upon acceptance of your application.

Registration fees

You can register only if your application was accepted during the submission process.

Breakfast (in the hotel), lunch and dinner are included from Monday to Friday afternoon (lunch), except dinner on Tuesday evening (free time in the afternoon - cultural visit in Paris). During breaks coffee and light snacks will be provided.

The registration fees are :

  • 400 € without accommodation,
  • 550 € with accommodation in a shared double room,
  • 850 € with accommodation in a single room.

Do not pay the fees if your application was not accepted before.
